Begin with a Real Breakfast and a Packed Bag
- The first error is arriving with only one bar for a two-day competition.
- Breakfast is familiar and the bag carries multiple snack waves.

Aspire Multi-Event Fueling
Fuel multi-event athletes for long days, repeat efforts, and the recovery gap between day one and day two.
Multi-event athletes can be under-supported when a long competition is planned like one short race. Cover breakfast, familiar gap foods, recovery access, and the evening handoff.
Multi-event success depends on what happens between events and between days.
Do this:
Try this week: At one long practice this week, eat from your bag between events like it is meet day.
Not true: one bar covers a two-day meet. Long waits with no food add up fast.
Start with the food category. Tap a package for one recognizable brand example, then swap within the category for access, tolerance, culture, budget, and allergens.

A multi asks for repeated maximal efforts on a draining fuel supply; muscle glycogen used in the morning does not return by afternoon without carbohydrate eaten in between.
Small carbohydrate top-offs between blocks keep blood sugar steady without loading a nervous gut, which is why bites beat a single large lunch that sits through the last event.
Glycogen refills fastest in the hours after the last event, so a bridge snack, then a full dinner with fluids, is what makes day two possible; sleep finishes it.
When to use this
The week before any two-day multi — heptathlon, decathlon, or a stacked pentathlon day.
Finish before you close this page
Choose one action from this sheet, write when it will happen, and name the person who owns it.
Done looks like: The next step is written, specific, and physically possible this week.
Advanced lab
Use the time available, appetite, tolerance, weather, and next event to choose a familiar option. Individual quantities belong with the sports dietitian.
Food dread, persistent low appetite, recurring symptoms, or individual quantity questions belong with the family and a sports dietitian, not a public body check or tighter coach script.
Where to go next
From one handout to a repeatable team system
Coach: Open the matching week, deliver the team talk, assign the staff owner, and verify the written action.
Family: Send the editable family message, share the handout, and keep the same next action visible in the family portal.
