SLEEP TO STAY STRONG
7-9 Hours of Sleep
- Get enough sleep to keep your immune system ready to fight.
- Heavy training can make you more vulnerable to getting sick.
THE NECK RULE: TRAIN OR REST?
Above the Neck (Runny nose, minor sore throat): EASY activity is OK. Keep heart rate low.
- Below the Neck (Fever, chest cough, body aches, stomach issues): STOP ALL EXERCISE. Rest completely.
- If your resting heart rate is up by 10-15 beats per minute, it's a RED LIGHT. Rest.
STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY IF...
You have ANY fever. Training with a fever can harm your heart.
- You have chest congestion or trouble breathing.
- You have deep body aches or joint pain.
What to Eat
